About Course

Total Ethical Auditing™ (or TEA) as published in Jo’s book, Becoming The Everyday Ethicist, is “a mindset, mission, and execution process for Internal Auditors to audit organization leadership and culture.” It includes three parts:

  1. How to “Think & Plan Like a Fraud Examiner” by utilizing 3 innovative ethics/fraud assessment techniques.
  2. How to “Execute Like an Investigative Journalist” by deeply reviewing those areas of high risk.
  3. How to “Mitigate Like a Coach” by consulting, counseling, and training to improve ethical conduct.

In this program, we will discuss the main types of ethics/fraud “red flags” that exist within organizations today, such as Disingenuous Leaders, Suspect Accounting Processes, Aggressive Incentives & Compensation, and (Un)Ethics & Technology – just to name a few. You will then use new assessment techniques learned to prioritize WHERE your focus needs to be when auditing culture and HOW to start!
